Tomasz Nieciąg replaced Wolfgang Rohner, owner of IMA SCHELLING GROUP from Austria. The appointment was made during the General Assembly of the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers EUMABOIS, which took place on September 17-19, 2025, in Dresden.

In addition to his role on the federation's board, Tomasz Nieciąg has also been appointed Chief Coordinator of the European Development Project ETML (European Tool and Machine Language). The ETML project is currently one of the main research projects of European manufacturers of woodworking machines and tools, aimed at establishing a European communication standard. This standard is intended to ensure uniform and secure data exchange between different machines, tools, and software, which will contribute to increased production efficiency, simplified machine configuration, reduced setup time, and error prevention. Thus, the ETML project aims to create a more integrated ecosystem throughout the wood industry supply chain.

The appointment of Tomasz Nieciąg to the EUMABOIS board and his appointment as ETML project coordinator is a significant distinction and recognition of his many years of activity and contribution to the development of the European woodworking machinery industry. It also highlights the role of the DROMA Association, of which Tomasz Nieciąg is a member, in supporting the industry at the European level.
